PHT Constant Wattage Heating Cables – Tmax 285 °C
The PowerHeat PHT is a high-power, high-temperature constant wattage heating cable used for freeze protection and temperature maintenance of pipes and tanks.
It can withstand a maximum exposure temperature of 285 °C.
This constant wattage heating cable can be cut to length on site without the need for complex calculations.
It provides an alternative to mineral insulated (MI) cables, which, as series-resistance circuits, must be specifically designed for a given pipe length and cannot be easily adjusted on site.
The PHT heating cable is ATEX, IEC, IECEx, and CE approved and certified for use in both non-hazardous and hazardous areas, in accordance with international standards.

Application Example:
In the chemical, food & beverage, or petrochemical industries, tanks and vessels must maintain a constant temperature to prevent product solidification or degradation.
Problem Example:
Insulation alone is insufficient. Heat is lost through conduction (walls and fittings), convection (enhanced outdoors by wind), and radiation (especially above 100 °C). These losses lead to gradual cooling of the product and can disrupt industrial processes.
