For these applications, the ceramic element is mounted in a tube. Ceramic heating elements are used when heating elements need to be replaced without emptying the tank.

Ceramic heating elements are made up of steatite and iron, chrome, aluminum or nickel-chromium wires. They are usually connected by threaded terminals, and other connections available on request.
