Mineral Insulated Heating Cables (MCU/MHC)
MCU range of mineral insulated (MI) heating cables with copper sheath has been developed to meet the specific need for a cable with high thermal capacity and electrical resistance values suitable for long circuit lengths.
To meet this requirement, we have combined a copper sheath with heating conductors, allowing an operating temperature of 250°C with resistance values ranging from 1.7 Ω/km to 2,000 Ω/km per conductor.
An outer HDPE sheath must be used when the cable is applied in specific situations, such as corrosion resistance, burial, or snow melting applications. Copper sheath heating cables with HDPE sheath (MHC) have an operating temperature of 90°C.
MI cables offer excellent mechanical strength and corrosion resistance.
The mineral insulated heating cables (MCU/MHC) are certified ATEX, IEC, IECEx, and CE, ensuring compliant use in both non-hazardous areas and explosive atmosphere zones, according to international standards.

The MCU series heating cables are designed to combine thermal performance and durability: they stand out for their high mechanical strength, corrosion resistance, and reliability over very long distances.

Thanks to their ability to maintain temperatures up to 250°C and support long circuit lengths (up to 5 to 6 km), the MCU/MHC mineral insulated heating cables are ideal for frost protection of exposed piping, such as steam manifolds, as well as for maintaining the temperature of transported fluids.
The MHC version, featuring an outer HDPE sheath, is suitable for corrosive environments, buried installations, or snow melting systems.
Mineral Insulated Heating Cables (MCU/MHC) are used in the following sectors:
-Chemical & petrochemical
-Buildings and infrastructure (snow and frost protection)
-Industrial facilities
-Water treatment and underground networks
-Logistics and cold storage warehouses
-Construction
-Food processing
-General industry
