The G-Trace (GT) self-regulating heating cable provides a reliable and efficient solution to prevent the accumulation of snow and ice on roofs and in gutters. It combines safety, durability, and adaptability, featuring automatic power regulation based on ambient temperature, easy installation, and compatibility with plastic materials.

Key advantages of the GT heating tape:

-Self-regulation of power according to ambient temperature

-No risk of overheating or burning

-Adjustable cable: can be cut to the desired length

-Corrosion-resistant thermoplastic jacket (GT) or fluoropolymer jacket (GT-F) for more demanding environments

-Simple installation without special tools, with connection, termination, and splice kits provided

Product specifications:

-Maximum allowable temperature: 60 °C

The G-Trace heating cable delivers a power output of 36 W/m in ice at 0 °C and 18 W/m in air at 0 °C. The graph below illustrates the cable’s thermal power, showing the nominal power supplied at the rated voltage.

To be used with type C circuit breakers in accordance with IEC 60898 standard.

The G-Trace self-regulating heating cable system is designed to effectively protect roofs and gutters of residential and commercial buildings from the accumulation of snow and ice. Thanks to its self-regulating technology, the cable automatically adjusts its power: it operates at full capacity when in contact with snow or ice, then gradually reduces its output as the environment warms and dries.

Application examples:

Freeze prevention on roofs and in gutters

-Residential and commercial buildings

-Roofs with plastic or metal downspouts

The self-regulating heating cables - G-TRACE (GT) are used in the following sectors:

-Chemical & petrochemical

-Machine manufacturing

-Construction and building

-Food processing

-Industries
