Heating cables – Longline (HTP1F)
Longline (HTP1F) is a constant wattage series resistance heating cable with a single conductor. It is supplied in multiples of three cables to be configured as a three-phase heating system.
It is used for frost protection or temperature maintenance of long pipelines, up to 5 km in length. A typical application is frost protection for aerial water pipelines.
The heating cable (HTP1F) minimizes the number of electrical feed points, thereby reducing the costs of power wiring and distribution equipment. Circuits are often fed only at the ends of the pipeline.
The number of heating cables and the size of their conductors are adjusted to deliver the required thermal output according to the circuit length. HTP1F heating cables are connected directly to the three-phase network or to a step-up transformer.
Thanks to its flat ribbon construction, the HTP1F provides a large heating surface, allowing lower operating temperatures compared to equivalent round conductor designs, which improves system safety and service life.
