Longline HTP1F Heating Cables – Tmax 125 °C – L = 5 km
The Longline HTP1F is a constant wattage, series resistance heating cable with a single conductor. It is supplied in multiples of three cables to be configured as a three-phase heating system.
It is used for freeze protection or temperature maintenance of long pipelines, up to 5 km. A typical application is the freeze protection of above-ground water pipelines.
HTP1F heating cable reduces the number of required power feeds, thereby lowering supply cabling and distribution equipment costs. Circuits are often powered only at the pipeline ends.
The number of heating cables and the conductor size are selected to deliver the required thermal output according to the circuit length.
HTP1F heating cables are connected directly to the three-phase supply or via a step-up transformer.
Thanks to its flat-tape construction, the HTP1F provides a large heating surface, resulting in lower operating temperatures compared to equivalent round conductor designs. This improves both system safety and service life.
