Longline HTS3FM Heating Cables – Tmax 200 °C – L = 2 km
The Longline HTS3FM is a long-distance constant wattage, three-phase series resistance heating cable, used for freeze protection or process temperature maintenance of pipelines in both safe and hazardous (ATEX) areas.
This constant wattage heating cable reduces the number of required power feeds, thereby lowering costs associated with supply cabling and distribution equipment. Circuits are often powered only at the pipeline ends.
These longline heating cables are designed to deliver the required thermal output according to the circuit length. HTS3FM cables are connected directly to the three-phase supply or via a step-up transformer.
Its flat-tape construction provides a large heating surface, resulting in lower operating temperatures compared to equivalent round conductor designs. This improves both system safety and service life.
HTS3FM long-distance heating cables are certified to ATEX, IEC, IECEx and CE standards for use in both non-hazardous and hazardous areas.

The HTS3FM is a constant wattage heating cable, designed for freeze protection or temperature maintenance of medium to long pipelines, up to 2 km. It is suitable for both standard and ATEX environments, and is mainly used on crude oil transfer lines, fuel oil pipelines, or other industrial fluid lines, either above ground or buried.
Application example: Buried pipelines extending over several kilometres (refineries, oil transport, district heating networks) must be maintained at temperature to ensure fluid circulation.
Problem example: Ground heat losses remain constant, while power feeds are generally available only at the pipeline ends. This requires long circuits that are difficult to manage. Excessive, uncontrolled power can lead to reliability issues, and failure of a single circuit would make the pipeline unusable.
The HTS3FM Solution
The HTS3FM (Longline) heating cable, with its three low-resistance conductors in a three-phase star configuration, is designed for long-distance buried pipeline heating.
-High thermal efficiency due to flat conductor design
-High flexibility for installation
-Optimised reliability and service life for critical industrial applications
The HTS3FM therefore provides a proven solution for maintaining the temperature of long buried pipelines with a robust and energy-efficient system.

Longline (HTS3FM) Heating Cables are used in the following sectors:
-Chemical & Petrochemical
-Oil & Gas Industry
-Power Generation
-Water Treatment and Distribution
-Machine Building
-Construction
-Food & Beverage Industry
