CRH Self-Regulating Heating Cables – Tmax 250 °C
The "Rail Heater" self-regulating heating cable has been specially designed for contact rails and energized rails operating up to 750 V DC.
This heating cable is essential to ensure the operational integrity of railway networks, keeping contact rails free of snow and ice even under adverse weather conditions.
The system is designed to be directly interchangeable with existing contact rail heaters, seamlessly integrating into contact or energized rail heating systems.
The self-regulating heating cable is securely fixed to the rail using a FRP protective channel and robust rail clips, ensuring a stable and durable installation even in harsh conditions.
This heating cable complies with current European Union (CE) standards.

The Contact Rail Heater (CRH) is a self-regulating heating cable specifically designed for contact rails and third rails operating at 750 V DC.
It provides reliable protection against ice and snow formation while automatically adapting to temperature variations, enabling quick installation and optimal performance up to 250 °C, even in demanding railway environments.
CRH self-regulating heating cables are engineered to withstand the specific stresses of the railway environment, including severe and continuous vibrations from traffic, immersion in icy water, snow, herbicides, diesel oils, lubricating oils, oxalic acid, and de-icing fluids. CRH cables can operate in “open air,” fully or partially, without compromising the heating system’s lifespan.
Installation of the CRH cable is fast and simple, requiring no special skills or tools. The installation of new or replacement heaters can be carried out easily and quickly, with minimal track occupation, thereby reducing railway traffic disruptions.
