The FSR self-regulating heating cable provides a safe, adaptable, and efficient solution for freeze protection and temperature maintenance.
It stands out for its ease of installation, its ability to automatically adjust to pipe temperature, and its inherent protection against overheating.

Available with a corrosion-resistant thermoplastic outer jacket (FSR-CT) or a fluoropolymer outer jacket for enhanced protection (FSR-CF), it meets the most stringent requirements of industrial installations.

To be used with Type C circuit breakers in accordance with IEC 60898

Designed for the construction and refrigeration sectors, the FSR self-regulating heating cable is ideal for freeze protection and temperature maintenance of pipes and vessels, both in non-hazardous and ATEX classified areas.

Application Example:
In cold climate regions, water and chemical fluid pipelines must be effectively protected to ensure service continuity in both building and industrial environments.

Problem Example:
Thermal insulation alone is not sufficient to prevent freezing. For instance, a 25 mm diameter pipe initially at 5 °C, insulated with 25 mm of insulation, will reach freezing point in less than one hour if the ambient temperature drops to –10 °C.

Using 150 °C steam as an energy source is not suitable for simple freeze protection, especially since condensate lines themselves are at risk of freezing.

Solution:
The most practical and effective approach is to use electric heat tracing with low specific power heating cables. This method provides reliable freeze protection tailored to the actual requirements.

Finally, it is important to emphasize that the choice of control system has a direct impact on operating costs. Optimized control reduces energy consumption while ensuring the safety of the installation.

Self-Regulating Heating Cables – Freezstop Regular (FSR) are used in the following sectors:

-Commercial and Industrial Refrigeration

-Water Treatment and Infrastructure

-Construction

-General Industry
